What might an alert message say?

How will I know the message is from 91دم½¶تسئµ?

The message sender will appear as follows:

From: 91دم½¶تسئµ no-reply@omnilert.com

Emergency Alert messages originate through the Omnilert system which is outside the parameters of the 91دم½¶تسئµ e-mail system and therefor will contain the blue banner that is customary on all external emails.

Do I confirm receipt of the message? What happens if I don't?

Though receipt confirmation is not required, it is preferable for you to do so if at all possible if you are asked to do so. This is especially important if two-way communication has been enabled and the e-mail message contains a web link or you are using the mobile app and have received a question. When you confirm that you have received the message or respond to a question, you will free up system resources to contact other members of the WVOSM community who may not have gotten the message yet. In an emergency this will save valuable time – and, possibly, lives.

Does 91دم½¶تسئµ test the alert system?

Yes. 91دم½¶تسئµ will test the 91دم½¶تسئµ Alert System at least once per semester. The campus community will be notified in advance when a test of the system is scheduled to take place.

Upon receipt of an emergency alert text message reply to the message with; Unsubscribe, Stop or Quit. You will need to do this for each cell phone number you have provided to 91دم½¶تسئµ.

If you have downloaded the mobile app and decide you no longer want to receive emergency alerts simply remove the app from your device.
