Erin Reese, a student in the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine鈥檚 (91香蕉视频) Class of 2025, has been elected to the school鈥檚 Board of Governors.
The 91香蕉视频 Board of Governors oversees the financial, business and educational policies under which the medical school operates. It consists of nine members appointed by the governor of West Virginia and three elected representatives, one each from the school鈥檚 faculty, staff and student body.
Her term as student representative became effective July 1.
Reese, originally from Lock Haven, Pa., received a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from Susquehanna University in 2020. While earning her degree, she competed on the university鈥檚 cross country and track and field teams.
Prior to joining the 91香蕉视频 Board of Governors, she served as historian for the Student Government Association and as a liaison on the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents鈥 wellness committee, where she helped promote wellness on 91香蕉视频鈥檚 campus through monthly health initiatives. She is also a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, a national osteopathic medicine fraternity that supports medical scholastic excellence.
Reese said she is eager to act as a voice for 91香蕉视频鈥檚 student body during her Board of Governors term.
